OUR SPACE
MELANATED39 is a platform created to offer a safe space for people of African Descent, it is filled with different forms of literature and media, all of which aim to educate, represent, unite, heal and uplift people of African Descent.

The black represents people of African Descent and the beauty and power of melanin.

The gold represents the royalty and importance of the motherland (Africa/Afrika/Alkebulan) each and every bloodline and our history.
OUR MOTIVATION​
What motivates us is the people who come after us and those who came before. It would be a shame for us to leave this earth with the problems that our ancestors faced for our children. So with this platform, we create a space where our people of melanin can come and simply be. Where we can be educated, uplifted, cherished, heard, and seen. This is where we come to see our reflections—see our faces, our features—hear our stories, learn about ourselves and our people. This is where unity and freedom start as we begin the journey to reclaim the mind and reclaim ourselves.

One of our main goals here at Melanated39 is for these books to be available to everyone because to us, they are more than just books, so in our space, we use a pay-what-you-want method. With this method, you can set your own price ranging from $1 and upwards by paying with whatever you have, whatever you can, or by paying with what you think the novel is worth or whatever the novel is worth to you.
MELANATED LANGUAGES
In our space for us, we are dedicated to offering representation to each and every one of us who share melanated blood, which comes with us highlighting the many languages we created by writing stories in our voices. Not only do we want you to see yourself in literature, but also hear yourself in literature. You matter and your voice does too. Each and every tongue we speak is special and deserves its own space.

The Other Side Of The Game is a series dedicated to melanated characters, all of whom have connections to a life of crime. It allows you to experience all the different players in the game, from dons to corner boys, and just how much every single hand and choice matters.

The Kulaiena Series takes place in a realm that holds eight different kingdoms, which are ruled and governed by the humans who are at war with the werewolves that threaten their very existence, and from this chaos, several unplanned realities and dynamics are created.

You Don't Know What Love Is, is a series that revolves around melanated characters who are still navigating love and the idea of it. Whether that be the definition, their ability to give love, their ability to receive it, or their ability to be loved and love themselves. This is where heartbreak and trauma meet patience, genuineness and honesty.

The Xolo Series takes place in a realm where the hearts of the inhabitants harbour a curse that shapes the way they approach love, as fire is only meant for water and earth is only meant for air, vice versa, creating many pairings who have to find harmony to survive.
